Former India pacer S Sreesanth has addressed the captaincy problem at Mumbai Indians. The former pacer has claimed that if Sachin Tendulkar can play under MS Dhoni, then Rohit Sharma could also play under Hardik Pandya. Sreesanth however has claimed that Rohit will be relieved as now he can play freely.

Mumbai Indians have come under the scanner after their 3 back to back losses. Amidst their poor form, there is also a captaincy dram ongoing for the 5-time IPL champions. Sreesanth went on to claim if the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar can play under MS Dhoni, then Rohit Sharma too wouldn’t have any problem.
“We have seen the god of cricket, the great Sachin Tendulkar play under Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni). We won the World Cup too. A lot of stories are being told about Rohit Sharma playing under new captain Hardik Pandya but Rohit would love to play freely. As far as I know Rohit, he would look to bat freely, without any captaincy burden, and may take the Orange Cap too. He is going to have a great season. He has led Mumbai Indians from the front but I am sure Rohit is going to lead Mumbai Indians from the back,” Sreesanth told the Times of India.
Rohit Sharma to change IPL Franchise?
No longer the captain of Mumbai Indians, there are quite a few reports about him switching sides. Adding more to the scene is the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Sreesanth has claimed that Rohit can make a change next season. Furthermore, the former pacer has relied heavily on the Indian skipper to score a plethora of runs this season.
I would say let’s be ready for the change and accept the change. For whatever franchisee he will play, Rohit is going to be the same. I am sure he must be going through difficult times personally but I am very confident that he will take it in his stride and will come out as a champ. Rohit is going to score heavily this season.
