The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers are underway, and in two days, we will know the two teams that qualify. Let’s take a look at the scenarios and each team’s chances based on their current positions in the points table.

Remaining matches

  • Ireland v Scotland – April 18
  • Pakistan v Bangladesh – April 19
  • Thailand v West Indies – April 19

Bangladesh: (3 wins, 6 points, NRR: +1.033)

Bangladesh have won all three matches so far, with a 34-run victory over Scotland pushing them to the top of the table.

The match against Pakistan will be crucial, as a win would confirm Bangladesh’s qualification. If they lose the match, they will still have a chance to qualify, but it will depend on Scotland and West Indies losing their games or, if they win, ensuring their net run rate is not better than Bangladesh’s.

Scotland (2 wins, 4 points, NRR: 0.136)

Scotland need to win at least one match and Bangladesh lose their upcoming game with Pakistan. They also need to improve their net run rate to climb up the standings.

West Indies (2 wins, 4 points, NRR: -0.283)

West Indies will also need to win at least one game to stay in contention for qualification. However, a win alone won’t guarantee their spot. They will have to rely on Scotland and Bangladesh losing their remaining games to level the points. In that case, qualification will be decided based on net run rate.
