ICC Events 2024-31: Pakistan to host Champions Trophy 2025 – Indian cricket team will travel to Pakistan in 2025 to compete in the ICC Champions Trophy as the International Cricket Council on Tuesday released the years and hosts of their upcoming major events till 2031. Due to political tensions and differences India had stopped playing bilateral series against the arch-rivals.
The last time India travelled to Pakistan to play any tournament was way back in 2008 to play Asia Cup. Due to security reasons a lot of teams have also refused to play in Pakistan. In ICC World Cup 2011 matches in Pakistan were shifted to Sri Lanka and the Pakistan Cricket Board couldn’t do anything. The last time Pakistan hosted an ICC tournament was way back in 1996 when they co-hosted the World Cup along with India and Sri Lanka.

However, it will also be a good opportunity for Babar Azam-led team to defend their ICC Champions Trophy title. In 2017, they beat India in the final to lift the title at the Oval, London.
ICC Events 2024-31: Pakistan will visit India for the 2023 50-over World Cup, 2026 T20 World Cup,2029 Champions Trophy and 2031 50-over World Cup.
USA and Namibia will host an ICC World Cup event for the first time as they are going to host ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
