Hyderabad overcome Meghalaya to win Ranji Plate final, move to Elite group

Hyderabad find themselves back in the Elite group after defeating Meghalaya by 5 wickets in the Ranji Plate final

Hyderabad defeated Meghalaya by five wickets to grab a win in the final of the Ranji plate. The two sides – Odisha and Meghalaya – have qualified to the Elite group. The contest was in between the two sides in the final of the Ranji plate finals.

Hyderabad beat Mumbai, move to elite group

Hyderabad managed to chase down the target with five wickets in their hands in the game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Skipper Tilak Verma led from the front with a 64-run knock in the 2nd innings.

Batting 1st in the game, Meghalaya posted a total of 304 runs. T Thyagarajan grabbed a five-wicket haul. Hyderabad managed to put up 350 runs on board in their 1st innings. Nitesh Reddy and Pragnya Reddy scored centuries each. In reply, Meghalaya were bowled out for 243 runs.
