HCA suspends women’s coach for allegedly consuming alcohol in team bus

Hyderabad Cricket Association received anonymous email with videos showing Women's coach Vidyuth Jaisimha consuming alcohol in team bus.

Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has suspended Senior Women’s Team coach Vidyuth Jaisimha pending an inquiry. HCA took the decision after videos surfaced on social media showing him consuming something from a bottle. Following that, HCA received an anonymous email alleging Jaisimha was consuming alcohol. However, the complaint is also against former India captain and coach Poornima Rao.

“This is a matter of serious concern and I have asked for a thorough investigation to be done in this matter and a decision will be made based on the outcome of the investigation,” A Jagan Mohan Rao, HCA President said.

HCA receives anonymous complaint

The complainant also alleged that Poornima Rao and Vidhyuth Jaisimha pressured the women’s players to drink alcohol.

“We submit that In the past Poornima Rao and Jaisimma were instrumental in making the young girls drink and were pressurizing the girls to do lesbianism. Now that we think the bad period is over with you Jaishima comes as a new nuisance. Can’t HCA do things in the right way for women’s Cricket?” the
