Talking to the media ahead of IND vs SA 1st Test on Tuesday, Rohit Sharma heaped praise on Indian Women's team.

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma lauded Indian Women’s team for clinching Test series wins against England and Australia at home.

Talking to the media ahead of IND vs SA 1st Test on Tuesday, Rohit heaped praise on Harmanpreet Kaur and Co and said that it was good to see the passion on the faces of each and every player.

“I loved watching them play. Loved what they did in the last two Test matches. Pretty good to see how they are playing the Test cricket and it’s not just about white ball cricket. I saw the passion in everyone’s face and in their body language”, Rohit said in the press conference.

Rohit also acknowledged the fact that are young players are still passionate to play in Test cricket. He further added that he hopes to see the Indian Women’s cricket going strength to strength.

“Good to see that people are still wanting to play Test cricket, whether it’s men’s cricket or women’s cricket. And getting the result at the end of the day was very, very pleasing. So yeah, I just hope that they go from strength to strength here and they get to play a lot of Test cricket. Because that is what challenges you. And I’m pretty sure in the future, you’ll see more and more Test cricket”, the 36-year-old concluded.

Notably, the Women in Blue registered two historic Test wins against England and Australia, respectively. The Indian team defeated England Women’s team by 347 runs before thrashing Australia by 8 wickets in the two Tests to claim back-to-back series.
