The women's team of India are set to host the South African women's side in June this year for a multi-tournament series, involving 3 WT20Is & 3 WODIs alongside a one-off WTest

While the Indian men’s team battles it out in the T20 World Cup this June, the Indian women’s team will host the formidable South African women’s team. The exciting rubber will involve three WT20Is, three WODIs and a one-off WTest.

An official announcement is awaited, but the tour itinerary is reportedly set. This series offers a significant challenge for the Indian team as they gear up for the T20 World Cup in September-October.

The lone Test, scheduled for June 28, will be Harmanpreet Kaur side’s third Test match in just six months. Chennai’s M.A. Chidambaram Stadium will have the honor of hosting this historic Test, marking the city’s second Women’s Test after a drawn encounter between India and West Indies way back in November 1976.

Schedule for India women’s vs South Africa women’s

  • One-off Test: M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai (June 28th)
  • Three WODIs: Bengaluru (venue details to be confirmed)
  • Three T20Is: M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai (July 5th, 7th, and 9th)

Following this exciting home series, the Indian women’s team will participate in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka starting July 19 before heading to Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup.
