For the last few days, the all-rounder had been posting pictures with red ball, a format that he has somehow managed to avoid since 2018. Now, as it turns out, as per a report in SportsTak, Hardik will play for Baroda in domestic circuit, that would pave his way to India eventually.

A source from Baroda Cricket Association confirmed of the development as well. It is important to note that after the Bangladesh series, India play Tests against New Zealand and their tour Australia for the Border-Gavaskar series. Meanwhile, he would be in action during the Bangladesh T20Is as well, that begin on October 6 in Gwalior.
