GT vs CSK: MS Dhoni: IPL 2023 – Huge crowds gathered outside the airport as MS Dhoni & Co reached Ahmedabad for their opening clash against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on March 31. While it is a home game for GT, fans showed immense love for CSK skipper Dhoni. There was no shortage of Yellove as fans were desperate to get a glimpse of Dhoni. While there is no official announcement yet, experts and fans are anticipating this to be Dhoni’s last IPL season. The wicketkeeper batter is also leaving no stone untoward to enjoy his likely last season. Be it painting CSK stadium yellow by using a spray, or smoking huge sixes in the nets, Dhoni is in his element. CSK geared up for the opening clash against GT by having a pre-season camp.

Everyone is curious to know if will this be MS Dhoni’s last IPL season as captain. Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma feels the former India captain is fit as a youngster and still go and play two to three seasons of IPL. 

“I’ve been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni’s last season. I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons,” Rohit said in MI’s pre-season press conference.

CSK had a poor IPL season last edition as they failed to make the playoffs. This year they would be aiming to go the distance and try to win the fifth IPL trophy.
