Should GT drop Rashid Khan?
Considered as GT’s trump card, Rashid has hardly managed to taste success in IPL 2025 so far. The spinner is not even among the leading wicket-takers in the tournament. So far, he has only managed to bag one scalp.

In fact, he has been outshined by teammate R Sai Kishore. The Tamil Nadu spinner has played all four games for GT and has 8 wickets to his name already. Given that Rashid isn’t able to create the impact that he is known for, Gill could afford to bench him for one match.
Pace attack led by Siraj
Siraj is having a dream run in IPL 2025 after moving on from RCB. First, he registered outstanding figures of 3/19 against his former team in their home ground. It only got sweeter for him in the next game against SRH as he registered his career best figures of 4/17 at his hometown Hyderabad.
He will continue to spearhead the pace attack for GT. Prasidh and Ishant are expected to make it to the XI, with the latter coming in as an impact sub if GT are bowling second. Kagiso Rabada, who has been benched so far, is expected to get a game finally.
No batting woes
Batting has undoubtedly been GT’s strong suit in IPL 2025. Sudharsan has been consistent at the top while Gill rediscovered his form in the game against SRH. Buttler has been outstanding so far.
Sherfane Rutherford, who has come in as the impact player, has aced his role as a finisher. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar is expected to get another game following his stellar show in the game against Hyderabad.
