Grand Prairie Pitch Report: Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas will be hosting the finals of Major League Cricket (MLC) set to be played on Monday, July 31. Mumbai Indians New York (MINY) and Seatle Orcas (SOR) will play the finals of the inaugural edition of MLC. MINY beat Texas Super Kings (TSK) in Qualifier 2, while SOR beat TSK in Qualifier 1 to secure a direct place in the finals.

This is the second straight match Dallas will be hosting after the TSK vs MINY game. That game witnessed a thriller, which had everything in it for bowlers and batters. The pitch for the final is also expected to be pretty sportive.

Grand Prairie Pitch Report: Runs galore for batters as MINY & SOR aim to post big scores

The pitch in Dallas is traditionally a batting paradise, with runs coming thick and fast. However, pacers will get help in the power play, with 175 being the average score. Overall nine matches have been played at Grand Prairie Stadium, with teams batting winning seven of those. Four times teams have crossed 170 at this venue in the ongoing MLC season.

MINY have slight momentum by two clutch matches against WAF and TSK. Dewald Brevis has stepped up in both matches for them scoring 51 and 41, while Trent Boult has been sensational for MINY, scalping 19 wickets in seven matches. The left-arm pacer has been deadly in power plays and equally potent at death.

Meanwhile, SOR have pummelled their way into the finals on account of phenomenal displays by Quinton de Kock and Henrich Klassen. Apart from the two Protea stars, Andrew Tye has bowled for Orcas, picking 11 wickets. SOR have played one time against MINY and have beaten them.
