‘Grand Entry’ Fans hail Mohammed Shami after 5-wicket haul in IND vs NZ

Mohammed Shami is playing his first match in the World Cup as the pacer scalped a five-wicket haul in IND vs NZ clash.

Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was terrific with the ball in the ongoing IND vs NZ World Cup match. Replacing Hardik Pandya in the team, Shami was right on the money as he completed a five-wicket haul against the Kiwis. With his fifer, Shami also became the only Indian bowler to scalp two five-wicket hauls in World Cup in a span of 48 years. Meanwhile, the visitors managed to post 274 runs on the board thanks to a brilliant knock from Daryl Mitchell.

Mohammed Shami became 3rd highest wicket-taker for India in WC

Earlier, Mohammed Shami surpassed legendary Anil Kumble to become the third-highest wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup for India. Shami took the wicket of New Zealand opener Will Young to achieve the feat.

44 – Zaheer Khan
