The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to kick off on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the opening match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. As the 10-team tournament enters its 18th season following significant squad revamps in the IPL Mega Auction last November, franchises will be eager to find the right combinations to compete for the prestigious title.
Meanwhile, several teams are dealing with injury concerns, including India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who aims to make a strong comeback after a lengthy layoff through the IPL 2025 season.
