On July 1, the second-ever Delhi Premier League (DPL) auction took place in New Delhi. The DDCA is ready to host the third edition of the enticing tournament that has been a huge success. The first edition was won by the East Delhi Riders before Nitish Rana returned to Delhi to make West Delhi Lions victorious.
As for DPL 2026, the franchises have formed an incredible tournament. Courtesy of the auction rules, the big players were divided equally across all eight teams, with Tejaswi Dahiya being the costliest player at INR 40 lakh. Meanwhile, inaugural champions East Delhi have formed a magnificent pace bowling duo in Simarjeet Singh and Mayank Yadav. Harshit Rana’s North Delhi Striker went hard to bring back Sarthak Ranjan while also paying a hefty fee for Mayank Dagar.
