A stadium 120 km away from Ranchi which once served as the venue for India vs Pakistan in 2005 now stands almost abandoned. The Keenan stadium in Jamsehdpur hosted its last Test in 2005. The venue’s presence comes into prominence amid the IND vs ENG 4th Test currently underway in Ranchi.

The forgotten Keenan stadium ft. MS Dhoni

As per MyKhel.com, the Keenan stadium hosted international games between 1983 to 2005. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has scored a century against South Africa at this venue in 2000. In addition, MS Dhoni featured in the final international match that was held at the Keenan Stadium between India and Pakistan in 2005. The stadium also has the reputation of hosting legends like Vivian Richards and Gordon Greenidge.

Only Ranji Trophy games are played at the venue currently. As per MyKhel, several portions of the stadium are now demolished. Many parts are under repair despite the venue boasting of an impressive structure.
