Finisher Rinku Singh makes debut ahead of IND vs SA 2nd ODI

Rinku Singh has been in the limelight for his hard-hitting abilities towards the ending phase of an innings.

After having a blast in the 20-over format, Rinku Singh made his ODI debut ahead of the IND vs SA 2nd ODI to be played at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha. Rinku Singh was given the debut cap by spinner Kuldeep Yadav ahead of the toss. Rinku Singh was all smiles as he starts a new journey in the international circuit.

Rinku replaces Iyer

Meanwhile, the home side won the toss in IND vs AUS 2nd ODI and opted to have a bowl first. Rinku replaced Shreyas Iyer in the team as the right-handed batter won’t be available for the remaining two ODIs. He has been released from the squad to prepare for the Test series.

“Not sure. We will wait and see. There was a good bounce when the guys played the T20I here. But not sure exactly how the wicket will play. In a game like that, you don’t talk much. Just give credit to the bowlers. But we also spoke about moving on and focusing on the next game. We will try to enjoy on the field,” said Indian skipper KL Rahul.
