The race for the IPL Playoffs have heated up. Amongst many teams one team that is trying hard it to make it to the top 4 is Delhi Capitals. Rishabh Pant and Co face a massive test as they take on high flying Rajasthan Royals. The DC vs RR clash can be the last and final push for Delhi Capitals in their bid to reach the knockouts.
Rajasthan Royals have been the team of the tournament so far. With 8 wins and 2 losses they are second on the table tied with KKR having played a game less. Both teams are coming off a defeat but it is now or never for DC who will be keen to take on RR who lost their last game against SRH by 1 run.
Now or Never for Delhi Capitals
Rajasthan Royals are yet to officially qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. Should RR go on to lose their remaining 4 matches, there is a chance that they don’t make it to the top 4. Similarly, 3 more wins for Delhi Capitals means they reach 16 points and have a chance of making it to the top 4.
This will be a too costly chance for Rishabh Pant and Co to let go. DC has had a mixed season so far. With 5 wins and 6 loses, they are placed 6th on the table. But the main cause of concern is their incredibly low NRR of -0.442.
Delhi Capitals’ real test begins now and they would require a big win against Sanju Samson and Co. This will not only recover their NRR but also fill the team with confidence to fight for the top 4 spot as IPL 2024 nears it’s end of the group stage.
