With his maiden fifer, Siraj equalled Chaminda Vaas (16 balls) and eclipsed Ryan Burl (18) of Zimbabwe to bag Fastest Fifer in ODIs in the IND vs SL (India vs Sri Lanka) Final. With Siraj breathing fire with 6/21 and Hardik Pandya bagging three wickets, India dismissed Sri Lanka for just 50 runs.

Siraj’s 44-delivery spell included two wides, two boundaries and a six. He bowled 34 dot balls as he blew Sri Lanka batters away with terrific line and length.
“Feels like a dream. Last time I did the same against Sri Lanka at Trivandrum. Got four wickets early, couldn’t get the five-for. Realised you get what’s in your destiny. Did not try too much today. I have always looked for swing in white-ball cricket. Did not find much in the previous games. But today it was swinging, and I got more wickets with the outswinger. Wanted to make the batters drive,” Mohammed Siraj said after India bowled out Sri Lanka for 50.
