Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra termed the two-match IND vs SA Test series a ‘travesty’ as the 1st Test was underway at Centurion. India will take on the Proteas in a two-match Test series instead of the usual three or five games. Taking to X, Chopra explained what the term ‘series’ meant and made a startling claim of who was making profits in this series.
IND vs SA Test series a ‘travesty’: Chopra
In a tweet, Chopra explained that every team had to play 6 series in the WTC cycle and that for any engagement to be called a ‘series’, then at least two games must be played. He further claimed that if it weren’t so, then teams would be happy playing just one Test.
Terming the series a ‘travesty’, he said that all the profit will be made by Cricket South Africa and not by the BCCI.
