IPL 2026: MI is yet to name the replacements for the likes of injured Quinton de Kock and Raj Bawa.

The list of players getting ruled out of IPL 2026, is only going bigger by the day. Now, MI have lost their two key players — Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa. With two matches still left, that could be a big blow to the team, who are in 9th position on the points table, and will only be playing for pride. While the South African opener suffered a tendon injury in his left wrist, Bawa suffered a ligament tear on his right thumb, in the match against PBKS.

De Kock, Raj Bawa latest casualties

Meanwhile, a statement from MI suggested that the replacements from these two teams will be announced soon. Both the players will rehab in their respective homes, with support and guidance from the MI’s medical team to help them return to play as soon as possible, the statement read further.

De Kock played three matches only this year, where he went on to score 132 runs. That also includes 112 vs PBKS a few matches back. Bawa played as many, scored16 runs, and picked two wickets.

MI face a real threat of ending IPL 2026 as the bottom-placed team, and have lost 8 from 12. Now, they face KKR on May 20, followed by the encounter against RR on May 24. To add to their woes, one doesn’t know as to when will skipper Hardik Pandya be back in action. He has missed team’s last three matches, owing to back spasms.
