Shams Mulani extended his impressive Ranji Trophy record by taking 5 wickets in the second innings for West Zone in their semifinal victory after Prithvi Shaw’s scores of 60 and 142.
After Rohan Kunnummal, Vihari, Ricky Bhui, and Ravi Teja produced hundreds in their four-day semifinal encounter for South Zone, R Sai Kishore claimed 10 wickets in the game and caused the most damage with the ball.
West Zone and South Zone will now battle for the title in a five-day match. This will be the 12th time the two teams have faced off in the Duleep Trophy final. South Zone have won four times while West Zone have won six of the 11 final contests, with the trophy being split once.
