RCB Unbox Event!

The RCB Unbox 2025 event is set to return on March 17, with tickets selling out quickly. The event, held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, will feature the RCB squad, led by new captain Rajat Patidar, giving fans an exclusive first look. The event promises to be bigger and better than before, with much-awaited performances and entertainment. RCB’s COO, Rajesh Menon, thanked fans for their enthusiasm, calling RCB Unbox an integral part of the team’s season build-up. New SRH player for IPL 2025

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has replaced injured overseas player Brydon Carse with South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder for the IPL 2025 season. Carse suffered a toe injury during the ICC Champions Trophy and will be out until the end of May. Mulder, who played in the Champions Trophy semifinal, will join SRH soon. This is SRH’s latest injury concern, with captain Pat Cummins and Nitish Kumar Reddy also dealing with injuries, although both expect to be fit for the IPL. Read more here.

Rohit Sharma against KL Rahul?

Anil Kumble criticized India’s team management, including Rohit Sharma for sending KL Rahul to bat as low as number six, suggesting he should play over Axar Patel. Kumble believes Rahul’s confidence has been affected by constant changes to his batting position, putting him under pressure to perform in every match he plays. Rahul redeemed himself with an unbeaten 42 against Australia, but Kumble thinks he should be trusted to take the game forward, citing his superb stats at number five in ODIs. Read more here.

India vs Pakistan bilaterals?

The BCCI vice-president, Rajeev Shukla, responded to Pakistan’s complaints about India playing all their Champions Trophy matches in Dubai. Shukla stated that the decision was made during an ICC meeting and that India’s performance is based on the team’s skills, not the pitch. He also clarified that there are no plans for a bilateral series between India and Pakistan, citing government decisions and the BCCI’s policy of not playing at neutral venues. Read more here.

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar believes Rohit Sharma should focus on batting longer instead of settling for quick 30-40 run knocks. Lucky break for RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) can breathe a sigh of relief as Jacob Bethell, their Rs 2.60 crore buy at the IPL 2025 auction, is set to play in the league despite injuring his hamstring before the ICC Champions Trophy. Bethell’s availability is a boost for RCB, who are still uncertain about Josh Hazlewood’s fitness too. With Bethell on board, RCB won’t need to find a replacement overseas batter, filling a crucial gap in their middle order. He is touted to be one of the most talented youngsters. Read more here.
