Rohit Sharma won’t make ODI World Cup 2027?

When Rohit Sharma didn’t retire from ODIs after winning the 2025 Champions Trophy, the BCCI were shocked. They expected Rohit, who’d retired from T20Is a year ago, to leave white-ball cricket. But that didn’t happen. And he’s even retired from Test cricket. As of now, BCCI is yet to talk with Rohit about his future. This could mean that his desire to play until the 2027 ODI World Cup may not come true.

Sudharsan, the next Kohli?

Who will be India’s next cricket superstar after Virat Kohli? Former England spinner Monty Panesar thinks Sai Sudharsan could be Kohli’s heir. He thinks the southpaw plays a fearless and aggressive brand of cricket and could take over Kohli’s number four spot in Test cricket.

The ICC has inducted seven cricketers, including two women, into the Hall of Fame. MS Dhoni from India, Matthew Hayden from Australia, Sana Mir from Pakistan, Daniel Vettori from New Zealand, Sarah Taylor from England, and Hashim Amla & Graeme Smith from South Africa.

RCB home stadium to shift?

In the aftermath of the Bengaluru stampede, which led to the death of 11 people, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that his government might think about changing the venue of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to another location. This means RCB’s home will be shifted.

The PCB are all set to remove their ODI and Test captains, Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood. Selectors, new head coach Mike Hesson, and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi all seem to be on the same page and want to announce Salman Ali Agha as Pakistan’s new all-format captain.

Rishabh Pant, injury free

Rishabh Pant had suffered a blow on his arm while practicing in the nets on May 8. The medical staff treated him but he didn’t continue on. There were concerns about his fitness before the India vs England Test series kicks off on June 20. But luckily, the next day, Pant returned to the nets and looked at his best. Dilemma averted.
