Injuries continue to trouble RCB and MI. Riyan Parag is under fire for his conduct on April 28. SRH made light work of MI’s 244-run target in Mumbai. SLC is going through a tumultuous time. Lastly, BCB has granted a Bangladeshi fast bowler an NOC for the PSL 2026 final.

Riyan Parag under fire

Riyan Parag has found himself in trouble after the RR captain was caught smoking an e-cigarette, the use of which is prohibited in India, inside the dressing room during the PBKS match on April 28. The BCCI will investigate the matter and take further action depending on their findings.

Rohit Sharma injury update

Rohit Sharma has now missed 4 matches in IPL 2026 due to a hamstring injury sustained on April 12. After MI captain Hardik Pandya announced the team for the SRH match, he revealed that Rohit will miss at least a couple more games. By then, MI’s season could be over.

SRH’s record chase vs MI

Speaking of the MI vs SRH match, the visitors claimed a dominant win. Led by Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen, Sunrisers hunted down 244, the 4th highest successful chase in IPL history, in 18.4 overs. Jasprit Bumrah once again went wicketless, and Ryan Rickelton’s heroics, with the highest score for MI, went unrewarded.

All SLC members resign

In a shocking turn of events, the entire Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board has resigned. SLC President Shammi Silva led the move after he and other members were accused of corruption and political influence. With the board’s departure, interim management will now oversee operations for the remainder of Silva’s term, which had 11 months left.

Nahid Rana to play PSL 2026 final

BCB has walked back their decision to withdraw Nahid Rana’s NOC for PSL. The pacer was called back to Bangladesh for the New Zealand tour but was rested after ODIs, citing workload management. Since Rana’s PSL team, Peshawar Zalmi, has qualified for the final, the BCB has decided to allow him to travel to Pakistan for the match and return for the upcoming Test series.

Phil Salt injury date

Phil Salt will miss another match for RCB. After injuring himself during practice before the GT game, the Englishman has been sidelined. RCB hasn’t provided any insight into the nature of his injury yet. Jacob Bethell will continue to open the batting with Virat Kohli in Salt’s absence.
