Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra opined that Team India management will not consider Sarfaraz Khan in Test format.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said that it pains him to see Sarfaraz Khan not being in scheme of things despite stellar domestic performances.
“I don’t know why but I feel Sarfaraz Khan will not be considered. It pains my heart. I have seen the kid practice and work hard but the team has made up their mind”, Chopra said on YouTube.

The cricketer-turned-commentator further added that there were few opportunities in the past where Sarfaraz Khan could have been given an opportunity but the management went with someone else.
“There was opportunity previously but Suryakumar was handed the debut. This time as well, Dhurv Jurel has been picked in scheme of things but not him. And it feels that the team has turned its back on him”, Chopra further added.
Notably, a day after IND vs ENG Test snub, Sarfaraz scored a brilliant 96 against England Lions to extend India A’s lead over the visitors in the warm-up game.
