Did Rishabh Pant signal move to PBKS? Keeper likes Punjab’s post on IPL 2025 Auction

IPL 2025 Auction: In a surprise move, Rishabh Pant was let go at the IPL retentions, by DC, and that gives every team a chance to bag him.

IPL Auction 2025 is just around the corner and one of the most sought after player is Rishabh Pant, who was released by DC. Many IPL Mock Auctions have already predicted that he will be the most expensive player ever; and why not, Rishabh is an explosive batter, and is a captain material, and would be on every team’s radar at the IPL Auction.

Rishabh Pant to PBKS?

Just on Saturday, JioCinema’s Mock Auction saw Rishabh Pant being sold to PBKS for a massive 33 Cr. That seems the most likely scenario for now as they have the highest purse left, going into the IPL 2025 Auction. Many experts also see the Delhi player going to the Punjab franchise.

If that is not enough, Rishabh Pant recently liked Rick Ponting’s post on Instagram, which is only a signal about his move. The post had pictures of the PBKS management and Ponting making strategies for the IPL Auction.

Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting revealed his goals with PBKS for the upcoming IPL 2025. “Punjab Kings is a team that hasn’t had much success in the IPL so far. I’ve been fortunate to be part of some successful teams—MI for a few years and then DC, where we had a good play-off run.

“I like the look of some of the younger players in the Punjab Kings lineup, which was a major attraction for me. The goal is to build the franchise into one of the powerhouses of the IPL, starting almost from scratch. I also want to create a dynamic and fun environment that players and fans alike will enjoy. When people watch us play, I want them to see how much the team loves playing together,” he added.
