SRH record highest IPL team score

Fans witnessed a freak show by SRH, who bludgeoned 277 in their designated 20 overs. The Orange Army now holds the highest team score in IPL, breaking Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB)’s 13-year old record when they smashed 263/5 against the Pune Warriors India (PWI) in IPL 2013.

All three of Travis Head (62), Abhishek Sharma (63) and Heinrich Klaasen (80) notched up half-centuries each. SRH’s innings saw then tonk up as many as 19 fours and 18 maximums.

Debutant Kwena Maphaka bore the brunt of the attack, leaking 66 runs in his four-over quota, thus becoming the MI bowler with the most expensive spell in IPL history. Meanwhile, Gerald Coetzee and Hardik Pandya gave away 57 and 46, respectively.
