Delhi Bulls register lowest total in Abu Dhabi T10 history, bowled out for 31 runs

Delhi Bulls managed to just 31 runs in their allotted ten overs against New York Strikers in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 league.

In some anti-climax, Delhi Bulls were bundled out for just 31 runs without completing their allotted 10 overs in the Abu Dhabi T10 league. Chasing a total of 99 runs against the New York Strikers, Delhi Bulls lost all their ten wickets in 9.3 overs while they managed to score just 31 runs.

Before this, Nothern Warriors held the record after scoring 46 runs against the Qalandars in the 2019 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 league.

Chasing 99 to win against the New York Strikers, Delhi Bulls were almost struck by an earthquake. Akeal Hosein made the inroads by scalping a couple in the first over of the second innings. He earned the assistance from Mohammed Amir. Sunil Narine and Chamika Karunaratne followed it up with brilliant spells and the Delhi Bulls fell like a pack of cards nine pins.

They did not seem like the toppers and struggled to be in the chase. It was just a matter of time before they collapse and it came down the final over when Odean Smith removed Ravi Bopara, the only player to reach the double-digit mark for the Bulls today.

Earlier, the Delhi Bulls won the toss and elected to field first. The pacers pushed the New York Strikers top order on the back foot as the scorecard read 35-4 after 5.3 overs. After a short flicker, Mark Deyal departed early and it was followed by the wickets of Muhammad Waseem, Kusal Perera and Kieron Pollard as Wasim Akram and DJ Bravo run riot in the first half of the innings.

However, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Odean Smith joined hands to deny any further hiccups. They structured a 63-run stand to propel the total to 98 at the end of the innings. Gurbaz carried the bat with 49* off 24 balls while Smith smacked 25* off 15 balls.
