DC predicted playing XI vs CSK: Axar Patel could leave out India pacer Mukesh Kumar, no changes in batting

DC Predicted playing XI: DC are currently in the second spot of the IPL 2025 points table, and would be looking for their third win.

In their first two matches, DC haven’t put a foot wrong, and have won two, to be placed second in the IPL points table. Come Saturday, Axar Patel’s men face MS Dhoni’s CSK, in a bid to stamp their authority once again. So, technically there isn’t any need for Delhi Capitals to make any change in their playing XI.

InsideSport takes a look at the DC predicted XI for CSK match.

No Change Needed in Batting Order

In the last match, Jake Fraser McGurk got 38, Faf du Plessis scored 50 from 27 and Abhishek Porel got 34 from 18 not out. KL Rahul, playing his first match for DC was decent with 15 from 5, while Tristan Stubbs scored 21. In their first match vs LSG, Ashutosh Sharma had taken the side to the win with 31-ball 66, while all-rounder Vipraj Nigam chipped in with 39 from 15. In short, for the two matches, this batting line up has done everything to be persisted with, in the next match.

T Natarajan IN for Mukesh Kumar

The only replaceable player in this XI has to be Mukesh Kumar, who despite not bowling badly, hasn’t looked like bagging wickets. In the two matches, he has picked only one wicket, and hasn’t finished his quota of overs in any. So instead, Axar Patel could go in with someone like T Natarajan, who is a wicket-taker, and is excellent at the death.

DC Predicted Playing XI vs CSK

  • Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abishek Porel, KL Rahul, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Viraj Nigam, Ashutosh Sharma, Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohit Sharma
