David Miller to bat with Rishabh Pant at LSG, joins for Rs 7.50 crore at IPL 2025 Auction

David Miller was released by the Gujarat Titans (GT) ahead of TATA IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

David Miller, who was the only player to set his base price at Rs 1.50 crore, was expected to be sold for around Rs 10 crore. But it was Rs 7.50 crore that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) paid for the southpaw. His former employee GT started the bidding for the South African and went on a bidding for against RCB. Then the Delhi Capitals (DC) joined in, with GT moving out of the race. Just At IPL 2024, he played just 9 games but operated at a great strike rate of 151.08.

LSG! Take a wow! Ft. Pant, Miller, Pooran

Lucknow Super Giants have struck a goldust. After they made Rishabh Pant the most expensive player ever in IPL auction history, LSG have built a super middle order. They have now David Miller, Rishabh Pant, Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni. This quartet could easily wreak havoc at any IPL ground. But LSG play at the Ekana Stadium, which is not know for being a batting-friendly one. Spinners rule the roost here. Hence, it would be interesting to see how they prepare from IPL 2025.

A proven match-winner, David Miller’s ability to finish games strongly is unparalleled. His vast experience and big-hitting prowess make him a valuable addition to the LSG squad and the South African can do something that other LSG finishers couldn’t! This year, he has already played close to 40 T20s, making 846 runs at a SR close to 140.
