It was a day to remember for new CSK batsman Sameer Rizvi, as he slammed 134 from 117 deliveries in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy for Uttar Pradesh against Saurashtra, on Sunday. Playing in the quarters of the event, on day one of the match. the 20-year-old Rizvi was at his finest as he slammed 14 fours and six maximums.
Courtesy of his efforts, UP managed to end the day at 426/5, putting hosts in a commanding position. Earlier in the day, Rituraj Sharma had also scored a ton, but was dismissed for 132.

In domestic circuit, he is hailed as the ‘right-hander Suresh Raina’ by many. “One of the IPL scouts actually told me that he was the right handed Suresh Raina.
