The absence of Deepak Chahar and the loss of Ruturaj Gaikwad’s form has particularly hurt the four-time champions, and the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore is essentially a do-or-die encounter for CSK.
Like head coach Stephen Fleming admitted, CSK have been a distant second in all their games and Jadeja will be keen to address the issues when he names his playing XI for the game on Tuesday. Theekshana made his debut vs SRH but was far from impressive, meaning Prashant Solanki could get a game despite his relative inexperience. Solanki’s inclusion could give CSK the chance to play either Adam Milne or Dwaine Pretorius in place of Mukesh Choudhary.
