Guwahati to host India vs England in WC 2023 Warm-Up on Sep 30

Before World Cup 2023, India to face England and a qualifier in official warm-up games on Sep 30 in Guwahati and Oct 3 in Thiruvananthapuram.

Before beginning their campaign against Australia on October 8, Rohit Sharma & Co will face England in World Cup 2023 Warm-up against England. Guwahati will host four warm-up matches including India vs England on September 30. India will play another warm-up match on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram against a qualifying team.  

India have a hectic World Cup schedule as they will play in 9 venues across India in a span of 44 days. With a three to four days gap between each match, it is going to be a difficult ride for Team India.

Hectic Schedule for Team India

After Guwahati on Sep 30, India travel 3,400km in Thiruvananthapuram. From there, India move to neighbouring Chennai for the opening league match against Australia. India then travel 2,200 km to Delhi to face Afghanistan. Another 950 kms away, India move to Ahmedabad to face Pakistan on Oct 15.

Following the mega clash, India take on Bangladesh 650kms away in Pune three days later. But another three days later, India travel 1900 kms to Dharamshala.

Rohit Sharma & Co get a 7-day break before travelling 1000 km to Lucknow to face England. From North, India then move West to Mumbai (1400kms) for the clash against a qualifying team. From the West, India travel 1900 kms to Kolkata for South Africa clash and then 2000 kms to the South in Bengaluru to face another qualifier.

If India qualify for the semifinals, they will either travel to Mumbai (if they don’t face Pakistan) or Kolkata if they clash against Pakistan.
