Cricket fraternity mourns as former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi passes away

A legend of the game, Bishan Singh Bedi played 67 Tests, scalping 267 wickets and 1560 wickets in 370 First Class games.

India have lost a gem. Former India spinner Bishan Singh Bedi has breathed his last at the age of 77. Considered one of the pioneers of Indian spin dominance, Bedi played 67 Tests and 10 ODIs between 1967 and 1979. He bagged 266 wickets in Tests and seven wickets in ODIs. He also captained India in 1976, replacing Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

Bedi was born in Amritsar but played most of his domestic career for Delhi. He picked up 1560 wickets in 370 First Class matches.
