Axar Patel has been the Man in Form in the ongoing Test series against Australia. The middle-order batter has showcased his batting brilliance throughout the series while the majority of the middle-order has fumbled. The Gujarat player has been a pivotal anchor where he managed to get runs on the board and help the hosts retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

In the first game, where India batted once, Axar played an important and pivotal inning down the order where he scored 84 runs. In the second Test, he showcased this batting with a gritty 74-run knock in the 1st innings.

In the third Test where India was handed a comprehensive defeat, Axar was the only batter to remain not out on both occasions (12 & 15). And finally in the 4th test match, Axar built a solid partnership with Kohli and managed to score 79 runs.
