One thing that has stood out during the ongoing World Cup is the bond between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The duo have enjoyed each other’s company and have also cheered the loudest for each other’s success. While the nation wants to know what has changed between the two superstars of Indian cricket, who once were not the best of friends.
Well, seems Jay Shah has worked his magic. According to Jagran News, the BCCI secretary is instrumental in bringing Kohli and Rohit closer and bond well during the World Cup.
If the reports are indeed true, then Rohit and Kohli’s special bond is also having a positive effect on team India, who are on a roll in the World Cup, winning nine games on the bounce.
It is the longest winning streak for India in the showpiece event, bettering the previous 8 wins registered in 2015 WC. Also, the rest of the team India players are bonding well and are enjoying each other’s company in good and bad times.

For the unversed, there were reports of Kohli and Rohit not gelling well after the former was removed from ODI captaincy in 2021. Several reports claimed that there are two groups in the dressing room, which is headed by Rohit and Kohli.
However, since last year, the superstars of Indian cricket have gelled really well, and the proof of that is often evidenced on social media.
After winning the T20 World Cup game against Pakistan, Rohit lifted the hero of the match Kohli on his shoulders. During this World Cup, the two were seen hugging and congratulating each other after taking a wicket in the game against the Netherlands.
Also, Virat Kohli is often seen advising on the field to the Indian skipper whenever the situation gets tough.
While the verdict is not out whether Jay Shah has helped the two greats come closer, as fans we do not mind seeing more of Rohit & Kohli bromance.
