Crashed like economy! Pakistan collapses in IND vs PAK as stars crumble under pressure

Pakistan lost their last eight wickets for just 36 runs as they got bundled out for just 191 runs in IND vs PAK World Cup clash.

Pakistan batters had a poor outing in the INDvsPAK World Cup match at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After being 155/2 with skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan batting, the Men in Green got bundled out for just 191 runs and could not even play their full 50 overs. Meanwhile, the Indian side has to chase just 192 runs in the IND vs PAK clash to make it three wins in a row in the marquee event.

India invited Pakistan to bat first

Earlier in the IND vs PAK match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Pakistani openers Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique gave a decent start to the Men in Green. However, both of them got scalped in quick succession. Then a decent partnership was formed between skipper Babar and Rizwan.

However, Siraj returned for his second spell and broke the 82-run stand by cleaning up Babar on 50. Rizwan was joined by Saud Shakeel but it was a short stay for the latter as Kuldeep Yadav dismissed him lbw on six. Iftikhar Ahmed also dragged one back onto the stumps on four to give Kuldeep his second.

Rohit brought Jasprit Bumrah back into the attack and it proved to be a masterstroke as the pacer cleaned up well-set Rizwan on 49 with an off-cutter. He followed it by dismissing Shadab Khan on 2 with a beauty. Pakistan were going nowhere as the Indian fans in the stadium found their voice.

Pakistan sank further as Mohammad Nawaz fell on 4 while trying to up the ante. Hasan Ali departed on 12 to give Ravindra Jadeja his first scalp of the match. The hosts didn’t waste any time in wrapping up the tail as Jadeja dismissed Haris Rauf to knock over Pakistan on 191.
