Consistency! GT pair Shubman Gill & Sai Sudharsan become 1st partners to create this IPL 2025 record

Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have created a massive IPL 2025 record in their superb stand vs Rajasthan Royals.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) have a set plan for winning games in the IPL. They have a solid foundation up the order. That foundation just doesn’t score the bulk of runs, but does it in such a consistent manner that you’d be guaranteed for them to hammer runs on a game-by-game basis. All the credit should definitely go to Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, who have now become the first IPL 2025 pair to muster 500+ runs in partnerships.

Gill-Sai effect continues

While all the other teams tend to go helter-skelter with the ball and sometimes, end up without desirable total. However, GT have a set plan in place where the two openers, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, stitch a stable partnership and eye not to give away wickets in the powerplay.

With the like of Jos Buttler, Shahrukh Khan and other power hitters waiting in the wings, Gill and Sai have a fantastic formula. Consistently, they have piled misery on bowlers and that was the case against Rajasthan Royals (RR) once again. In the ongoing RR vs GT game, the duo has surpassed everyone to become the first pair to have over 500 runs in partnerships.

In Jaipur, they negotiated the Jofra Archer and Wanindu Hasaranga threat gleefully. Gujarat Titans got off to a strong start, with Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill putting on 93 runs together. Sudharsan was fortunate to be dropped by Hetmyer on 9, but he capitalized on the chance, and the pair scored 53 runs in the powerplay. Gill was in sensational form, reaching his fifty in just 29 balls. The opening stand was eventually broken when Sudharsan was caught at long-on off Theekshana’s bowling, ending a promising partnership.
