Virat Kohli continues to break records. In every other match for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Kohli reaches new heights. He breached the 13000-run mark in T20s against the Mumbai Indians and became the batter to hit the most 50-plus scores in the IPL against the Punjab Kings.
Virat Kohli scripts name in T20 history
Now, Kohli has become the first player in the history of T20 cricket to score over 3500 runs at one single venue. Across international cricket (India) and franchise cricket (RCB), Kohli has amassed most runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Only six batters have scored over 3000 runs at a single venue in T20s, and no one who’s scored over 2000 runs averages more than Kohli. And similarly in the strike rate department, only 4 of the 21 batters with over 2000 runs have a strike rate higher than the former RCB captain.

Kohli scores his 60th fifty in IPL
The star batter hit his 5th fifty of the IPL 2025 season and his 60th overall. It was his 26th half-century at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The knock was impressive because of how tough the pitch was in the early phase of the match. Jofra Archer was making the ball talk. The surface had pace, bounce and zip.
Being an experienced pro, Kohli played out Archer and went after the other bowlers. Unlike the past few years, he played the spinners exceptionally well. He tucked them around for singles and let Devdutt Paddikal attack them. Therefore, nullifying Wanindu Hasaranga and Riyan Parag.
He brought up his fifty in 32 balls. Considering Phil Salt had managed to score just 25 (23), it was a great fifty from Kohli.
