Check Asia Cup 2023 Schedule Revised as ACC introduces Reserve Day

Asian Cricket Council has introduced Reserve Days for India vs Pakistan Super 4 clash and Asia Cup 2023 Final but there is no reserve day for other Super 4 clashes.

The Asia Cup 2023 Schedule has been revised. With rain threat looming large on Asia Cup Super 4 matches, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has confirmed Reserve Days for the all-important India vs Pakistan (IND vs PAK) clash on September 10 and the Asia Cup 2023 Final on Sep 17.

However, there will be no Reserve Day for other Asia Cup Super 4 clashes. For example, there is a day’s gap between India vs Sri Lanka and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka. However, as it will be almost impossible to play within 24 hours of a 50-over match, ACC has dismissed reserve day.

Why is there reserve day for IND vs PAK?

India vs Pakistan is the most important fixture in Asia Cup 2023. After only one innings was possible in the previous encounter, ACC wants to maximise the possibility of a full match in the Super 4 IND vs PAK clash.

Similarly, there is also possibility of another India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2023 Final. Hence, to maximise revenue, ACC has put in place a reserve day for the clash.
