Century Chopra! Son of Bollywood director creates Ranji history with four successive tons

The talented 25-year-old currently averages 95.87, having scored five centuries in the eight innings he's played so far.

Agni Chopra, son of famous Bollywood director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has created history in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024. The 25-year-old cricketer, who plays for Mizoram in domestic cricket, became the first player in first-class cricket history to score four consecutive centuries in their first four matches.

Agni made his debut against Sikkim in the Ranji Trophy 2024 (Plate), scoring 166 in the first inning and following up with 92. He has since scored four more hundred and currently averages 95.87 while striking the ball at an astoundingly high rate of 111.80.

His golden run has seen Mizoram win two of their four matches and propel them to the second spot on the table. For those unaware, the winner of the Ranji Trophy Plate gets promoted to the Elite Groups.

His five tons have helped Mizoram virtually confirm their spot in the Plate semifinal and therefore have a shot at playing the best teams in the next season.
