If Nair scores 79 or more in the final against Karnataka, he has a chance to break Jagadeesan’s record for most runs in the season.

It is Prithvi Shaw, who is currently struggling to make runs, but in 2020-21, he was making runs all over and scored more than 800 runs in a single season, amassing 827 runs in eight innings with an average of 165.40 and four tons. During his captaincy, Shaw scored three centuries and a half-century, helping Mumbai win their second Vijay Hazare Trophy title.
