Captains of Every Team in IPL 2024

Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, let us look at the captains of all the 10 teams in IPL 2024.

The schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024 has been revealed. The schedule for the first two weeks of the IPL 2024 was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The much-awaited cricket spectacular is scheduled to begin on March 22 and go through April 7. There will be 21 exciting matchups for fans to watch over this first two-week period. Ten different cities will host these matches. Ahead of the IPL 2024, let us look at IPL 2024 captains.

IPL 2024 will witness five changes in leadership in respective teams; Hardik Pandya moved to MI to captain his former side. Shubman Gill handed over his first IPL captaincy. KKR also replaced Nitish Rana from Shreyas Iyer. Since it could be MS Dhoni’s last season, he has stepped down from leadership role and Ruturaj will now lead the team. Rishabh Pant will take back his role of captain from David Warner as he will return after missing IPL 2024.

IPL 2024 CSK captain

Ruturaj has taken over the CSK captaincy from the legendary skipper MS Dhoni. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have won the IPL title five times under the guidance of MS Dhoni. As this could be Dhoni’s last IPL season, he has passed on his throne to Ruturaj.

IPL 2024 MI captain

With Mark Boucher taking over as coach, the Mumbai Indians have made a big change for the 2024 Indian Premier League season by appointing Hardik Pandya as captain. The former captain Rohit Sharma, who led MI to five IPL championships, and the former coach Mahela Jayawardene are replaced by this new leadership team.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have named Shreyas Iyer as their new captain for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). Iyer got injured and missed the 2023 season. Nitish Rana took over as captain. During Iyer’s previous leadership, KKR advanced to the 2021 IPL Finals.

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. Dhwana has scored 6617 runs in 217 IPL matches.

IPL 2024 SRH captain

SRH, who have bought Pat Cummins for a whopping Rs 20.50 crore, will be SRH’s new captain. Cummins will replace Aiden Markram.

IPL 2024 RCB captain

For the 2024 Indian Premier League season, Faf du Plessis will continue to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while Sanjay Bangar will serve as coach.

IPL 2024 DC captain

David Warner has been given leadership of the Delhi Capitals, in the absence of Rishabh Pant. But, in the upcoming season, Pant will return to the side as a captain.

IPL 2024 RR captain

Sanju Samson will lead the Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 Indian Premier League, while Kumar Sangakkara will serve as their coach.
