Virat Kohli was in his elements on day two of the first Test against West Indies. The right-hand batter is currently undefeated on 36 at stumps on day two

After celebrating his first boundary by punching the air, Virat Kohli yet again made headlines as he was caught on the stump mic saying to Yashasvi Jaiswal ‘Bhatta fek rah ai.” Kohli was referring to Kraigg Braithwaite’s bowling on day two’s play against West Indies. The West Indies captain who is a part-time off-spinner came into the attack late to try and dismiss Jaiswal and Kohli.

However, Braithwaite’s action became the talking point as Kohli felt he was throwing the ball beyond the 15-degree elbow limit granted by ICC. The former India captain, who loves to express himself on the field this time spoke to Jaiswal about the illegal action in which the Windies skipper was bowling. While ICC has not suspended Braithwaite for illegal action yet, it remains to be seen what the take of officials after Braithwaite’s bowling in the Dominica Test.

Virat Kohli: Kohli seeking big runs on day two against hapless-looking West Indies

Speaking about Kohli, the right-hand batter was not not at his fluent best with Windies bowlers bowling tight lines to him. However, the fighter that Kohli is he played patiently and scored his first boundary in the 80th ball. With the legendary batter getting to a good start, he would be keen to convert that into a big score.

While Kohli is back with a bang in white-ball formats, the 35-year-old is yet to hit top form in Test cricket, a format he loves the most. With India in a dominant position in the first Test and Windies’ bowling also lacking any bite, Kohli would be looking to make the most of the opportunity and eyeing a big Test hundred on day three. India are placed 312 for 2 at the end day of day two’s play with a lead of 162 runs.
