Cricket fans were left disappointed all over the World when they could not book tickets for India matches despite fans logging in promptly at 8 PM. To note, ticket bookings for India matches opened from August 30. But due to the huge demand for tickets, fans could not get hold of tickets.
Cricket is a religion in India, and naturally, millions showed excitement to get hold of some tickets. After strong criticism from fans, BookMyShow penned a note to fans stating, “The love for cricket in our country has always been unparalleled, and it has been no different these past few days as several million fans logged onto BookmyShow, all at once, to get hands-on limited tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
We understand that not all fans had an easy time, experiencing queues and eventfully heartbreak in their attempt to book tickets. In a country like India, which is deeply passionate about cricket, the demand is always massive as scores of fans try to book tickets with queues naturally tending to be long. While it is always a race against time to get access to this cricketing extravaganza, we are striving to be able to give you a fighting chance to get access to the tickets.”

World Cup 2023 ticket sales for Bengaluru and Kolkata to begin on Sep 2
The ticket sales for India’s Bengaluru and Kolkata matches will begin on Saturday (September 2) at 8 PM IST. The World Cup 2023 ticket sales for Team India matches will conclude on September 3 with Ahmedabad game tickets.
How to book ODI World Cup 2023 Tickets?
- Visit the BookMyShow website.
- Click on the venue of your choice under ‘Find matches by venue.’
- Select the specific match you wish to purchase World Cup tickets for.
- Click on the ‘Book’ option displayed on the screen.
- A login prompt will appear, allowing you to log in if you have an account.
- Choose the number of seats you require.
- Pick the desired seating area for which you want to buy tickets.
- Click on the ‘Book’ button.
- Provide the PIN for the home delivery of the tickets.
Enter your necessary personal details.
