BCCI says no to hairstylists, cooks and personal security guards on tours

After India lost the IND vs AUS series 1-3, the BCCI cracked the whip by taking a few stern calls, for the betterment of the team.

The BCCI’s Jan 11 meeting has created a few ripples already. In what was supposed to be a review of the IND vs AUS series, that India lost 1-3, there seem to have been a few stern steps taken by the board. Of course, there is no official confirmation about these developments, but then — the takeaways from the meeting are, Rohit Sharma would continue as the captain. Yo-Yo fitness tests will be back, performance-based variable pay, and restriction on travel of family, wives and partners.

No Cooks and Guards for Players?

As per a new development by ANI now, the players won’t be allowed to travel with their personal staff, that includes hairstylist, cook, and even personal security guards. Once again, it is not clear if this will eventually happen or not.

BCCI Ready for Tough Calls After IND vs AUS Loss

Apart from this, it seems that the BCCI is looking for a new batting coach for the Indian team. For now, India A coach Sitanshu Kotak’s name is being considered for the new batting coach. That just goes on to show that the board might not be necessarily pleased with the way Gautam Gambhir’s support staff has functioned so far, with the results not coming.

Another news that has caught the attention is, that as per a report, Gambhir accused Sarfaraz Khan of leaking the dressing room secrets. Of course, the head coach is yet to comment on the development, but this could perhaps be the reason why the batter was benched for the entire IND vs AUS series.
