BBL 13: Chris Lynn six hits the roof, crosses 100m mark with ease

Despite his best efforts in the BBL clash against Melbourne Renegades, Chris Lynn could not take Adelaide Strikers to a win.

Chris Lynn might not have been able to make a mark in the IPL or international cricket, but is certainly a legend when it comes to the BBL. The Adelaide Strikers batsman was at his best at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne, as he entertained the crowds with his powerful hitting.

In the match against Melbourne Renegades, not only he played an explosive innings, but hit a six, that hit the roof of the stadium, and ricochet back on the ground. The incident happened on the bowling of Will Sutherland. The ball distance was tracked at 103m, which the commentators feared, would have gone 140m, if not for the roof.

Lynn did not stop there at all, and went on to score his fifty in just 27 balls. Meanwhile, during the course of his innings, he became the first player in the BBL to score 3500 runs. As far as the match is concerned, Strikers’ set a target of 177, which Renegades achieved with eight balls to spare.
