BAN vs SL: Why Shakib is vital for Bangladesh in the Test team?

Shakib can impact games by winning with both bat and ball in hand. He is Bangladesh’s most experienced player. Overall he has played 59 Tests and has scored 4029 runs and has picked up 215 wickets. With Bangladesh languishing at bottom of the points table, Shakib being fit in time is a massive boost for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ready for the challenge – The Test series starting on Sunday will start a string of challenges for Sri Lanka as they take on Australia after the two-match Test series while they will also face Pakistan in a home series. Sri Lanka recently were beaten by India, which comes as a big blow. They currently sit fifth in the table with two wins and two defeats while opposition and hosts Bangladesh sit ninth with one win in six matches.
