Babar Azam

1. Babar Azam: Babar Azam is one of the top players to watch out in the first test against Bangladesh. Pakistan skipper had a poor outing 3-match T20I series recently, however, Babar has the ability to bounce back with better performance. In Test, Babar Azam has 35 matches and aggregated 2362 runs, including 5 centuries. Azam is the good attacking player and has the ability to perform better against fast bowlers. Babar Azam had played only test against Bangladesh last year, in which he scored a brilliant century.

2. Mushfiqur Rahim: Mushfiqur Rahim undoubtedly is one of the best batsmen for Bangladesh when it comes to Test cricket. The 34-year-old is the most successful test captain for Tigers, leading them to seven Test victories. Mushfiqur Rahim has played 75 matches and aggregated 4696 runs in Tests. Rahim is 304 runs away from becoming first Bangladesh batsman to score 5000 test runs. After being rested for T20I series against Pakistan, he will look to make headlines in the Test series.

Mohammad Rizwan

3. Mohammad Rizwan: Mohammad Rizwan will look to continue his fine form in first test against Bangladesh. The 29-year-old has been good form during 3-match T20I series recently. In Tests, Mohammad Rizwan has aggregated 914 runs, including a century, from 17 matches. Rizwan has the ability to play better against pacers and spinners and can control the ball well. Mohammad Rizwan has played only test against Bangladesh in which he scored only 10 runs in an innings. Given the form he is in, Pakistan might expect a lot from him.

Mominul Haque

4. Mominul Haque: Mominul Haque is one of the finest batsmen for Bangladesh in test cricket. The 30-year-old is currently the fourth highest run-scorer in Tests for Bangladesh, aggregating 3349 runs, including 11 centuries, from 45 matches. Though, Mominul Haque has the ability to play good strokes, he still needs to be careful about the pace attack of Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali.

5. Mehidy Hasan: Mehidy Hasan has been one of the best all-rounders for Bangladesh and often seen as a successor to Shakib-Al-Hassan. The 24-year-old has scalped 113 wickets and aggregated 894 runs, including a century, from 27 matches he has played so far. Mehidy Hasan has the ability to bowl long spells and can trouble the batsmen sometimes. In the absence of Shakib-Al-Hassan, Bangladesh will expect a lot from Hasan in the middle-order.
