India’s new T20I vice captain Axar Patel is a funny character both on and off the field. His funny side was showcased when he took over the duty to do India’s vlog while the team traveled from Chennai to Rajkot. India currently leads the IND vs ENG T20I series 2-0 and will play their next encounter at Rajkot.

“Today I have got a new role. So today, Bapu will do a vlog. Welcome to the team Ramandeep Singh,” Axar chirped in front of the camera.

New Role for Axar Patel

While traveling on the team bus, he greeted Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel. He asked Morkel how he was and “Who is your favorite person on the team?” Morkel smiled and replied, “Axar Patel. I have been told that I have been working with him and thus he is bowling so well.”

Team India has been playing exceptionally well in the shortest format of the game. The team steamrolled past England in Eden Gardens and then fought off well to script a 2 wicket win in Chennai. Up next, the focus shifts to Rajkot for the third game of the series.

“I am very grateful to be a part of your vlog,” laughed Indian star Tilak Varma. The Indian vice-captain then showed a part of his mischievous side. He spotted young opener Abhishek Sharma was sleeping so he casually went up to him and asked “Hi Abhishek, are you sleeping?”

“It was a grand welcome for us with the traditional garba dance. I hope you guys watched it and liked it. And keep supporting Team India like this,” Axar signed off.
